Wildfire Burning Near Silverthorne
SILVERTHORNE, Colo. (CBS4)- Firefighters in Summit County worked to contain a wildfire burning near Silverthorne on Friday evening.
The fire had burned about 10 acres as of 7 p.m. on Friday north of Silverthorne. Firefighters received reports of the fire at 2 p.m. Friday.
There was no containment at 7 p.m. on the fire burning on U.S. Forest Service land.
About 50 firefighters were fighting the fire from Summit County, the U.S. Forest Service and other counties.
No structures were threatened. There was one voluntary evacuation.
What caused the fire is being investigated.
