DENVER (CBS4)– Protesters gathered outside a DMV office on Friday to demand more funding for the undocumented immigrant driver’s license program.
The demonstrators say driver’s licenses are too difficult to get in Colorado. They want lawmakers to restore more funding to the program.
“What that’s created is a flood of people who need to get these appointments to get the licenses and that’s led to longer wait times,” said protester Angela Cobian.
There are only three local DMA offices where undocumented immigrants can go to begin the process of getting a license.
