DENVER (CBS4)– A United Express flight from Aspen was diverted on its way to Denver International Airport on Wednesday because of engine problems.

Flight 4919, a Havilland Dash 8-400 twin turboprop plane, left Aspen on Wednesday morning headed to DIA but the pilot had to divert the flight to the Yampa Valley Regional Airport near Steamboat Springs.

The plane landed safely but the 69 passengers and four crew members had to take a bus to Denver.

The plane was a Republic Airlines plane operating as United Express.
