Fire Destroys Brighton Tavern, 1 Firefighter Hurt
BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4)- Firefighters rushed to battle a fire that destroyed the Brighton Tavern early Saturday morning. One firefighter was hurt in the battle.
The fire at 245 S. Main Street in Brighton was reported by a passerby after 3 a.m.
The bar had closed at 1 a.m. There was no one inside when firefighters arrived.
Flames reached 20 feet in the air. There were no reports of any damage at nearby businesses.
One firefighter was hurt when struck by some duct work. That firefighter was treated and released from the hospital.
What started the fire is being investigated. The Brighton Tavern is a total loss.
