DENVER (CBS4) – Members of the Denver Nuggets and the Denver Broncos took part in a charity ping pong tournament on Thursday night in Denver.
The event at the Exdo Event Center in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood was set up by Denver Nuggets General Manager Tim Connelly and the Doreen Katz Memorial Cancer Foundation.
The organization works with “the many hospitals located in the Metro Denver Aea the Foundation identifies and helps children when their parents are diagnosed with any form of cancer.”
CBS4’s Vic Lombardi took part in the tournament and asked Connelly if he had brought some “ringers” to play in it.
Connelly said no, but that there was one guy present who had a pair of sneakers made specifically for table tennis.
That guy wound up winning the tournament.
