Man Captures Video Of Apparent LoDo Shooting Victim Being Carried Off

DENVER (CBS4) - Mathis Harrison was leaving an event in Denver's LoDo neighborhood at approximately 2:30 a.m. Monday when he says chaos erupted in a nearby parking lot.

"It sounded like there were six shots fired first and then there were like six to eight more fired in retaliation," Harrison told CBS4.

Harrison got out his phone and captured video of a woman being rushed to safety.

"He was running with her, holding her and I heard people screaming saying 'She was shot! She was shot,'" Harrison said.

Four people were hurt in the shooting, which happened at the intersection of 19th and Market Street.

While police can't say exactly how many shots were fired, the damage is evident. One store window was boarded up and a gunshot was still visible Monday evening above the boards.

A few blocks away investigators found a bullet-ridden SUV that they also believe was involved.

At the scene later in the day, Suzy Green also showed CBS4 her car, which was one of several in the parking lot that wound up being damaged by bullets.

"When we got here the whole place was taped off and I could see my car had a big hole in the window," she said.

Green was clearing out glass from her car in the parking lot on Monday many hours after the shooting.

"They're material objects, they can be replaced. It sucks, but you know they're replaceable," she said.

Police said three women and a man were hurt in the shooting. Two were treated and released from the hospital. Two others remained in the hospital on Monday evening.

No arrests have been made so far in the case.
