Drivers Asked To 'Fill The Boot' Through Labor Day Weekend

DENVER (CBS4)- Drivers may notice some firefighters standing in the middle of traffic along the Front Range over the next several days. But it's all for a good cause.

They're collecting money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Fire chiefs from around the state kicked off the "Fill the Boot" campaign on Tuesday.

Firefighters will be standing on street corners asking drivers for donations through Labor Day weekend.

The money raised helps children and adults battling Muscular Dystrophy, ALS and other diseases that limit mobility.

The Fill The Boot campaign has been around for 60 years.
