BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)– A Boulder doctor facing drug charges had a medical episode during a hearing in a courtroom on Tuesday morning.

Boulder’s District Attorney Stan Garnett said Larry Eckstein “appeared to faint” during his bond hearing. Medical aid was summoned to the courtroom and Eckstein, 68, was taken to the hospital.

He did not appear to have any serious consequences from the fall and his bond hearing was postponed to a later date.

Eckstein was arrested Aug. 18 after a grand jury indicted him on the charge of unlawful sales and distribution of oxycodone.
