Breckenridge Police Search For Driver In Deadly Hit & Run

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Breckenridge searched for a hit-and-run driver wanted in a deadly crash.

Police rushed to the 600 block of Airport Road about 11 p.m. Monday on reports of a female lying next to the roadway.

Officers along with Red, White & Blue Fire Department personnel responded and attempted to perform life-saving measures on the woman who was in her 20s.

The female was pronounced deceased at the scene and her body was turned over the coroner's office. Her identity has not been released.

Police believe she was struck by a vehicle and the driver sped away.
