Denver Broncos Cut Several Players Including QB Dysert

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Broncos have announced their first round of cuts this week, and they include quarterback Zac Dysert.

In addition to Dysert, who was battling with Trevor Siemian for a possible third quarterback spot on the roster, the team released the following eight players:

- Tevrin Brandon, cornerback
- Andre Davis, guard
- Spencer Lanning, punter
- Joe Don Duncan, tight end/fullback
- Ross Madison, safety
- Jake Murphy, tight end
- Jeremy Stewart, running back
- Chase Vaughn, linebacker

The Broncos also waived linebacker Reggie Walker and placed tight end Jeff Heuerman on injured reserve.

Heuerman tore an ACL one week after he was drafted, but the Broncos couldn't put him on IR until the 75-man roster cut. Otherwise, he would have had to go through waivers first.
