Wanted Purse Snatcher Doesn't Even Get Out Of His Car

ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Arvada would like the public's help identifying a suspected purse snatcher that has hit several communities in the Denver metro area.

According to police, a white man driving an older model, faded silver Honda Civic or Accord reportedly drives up directly behind women in Arvada and grabs their purses.

The man is also suspected in similar crimes in Denver, Glendale and Englewood.

Police in Denver said these purse-snatching incidents happened in the past week:
8/13/2015 0745 hrs 400 S. Broadway St.
8/15/2015 1200 hrs 7800 E 35th Ave
8/17/2015 1856 hrs 1600 S Colorado Blvd
8/18/2015 0040 hrs 1700 blk E Colfax Ave

"What we're telling folks as they're walking down the streets it's important they carry their purses over their shoulders, hold on to the bag and not swing the purses while they're walking. Sometimes the shoulder or over-the-shoulder bags are really important to have," said Denver Police Department spokeswoman Raquel Lopez.

The man is described as being in his late 20s to early 40s with dark blondish or reddish hair with possibly a skinny build.
