Weekend Closure Of I-25 Express Lanes

DENVER (CBS4) - Paving and bridge rehabilitation will close the Interstate 25 Express Lanes from downtown Denver to US 36 over the weekend.

Additional work will affect I-25 and the 20th Street bridge through mid-September.

The full weekend closure begins at 8 p.m. Friday and will go until 5 a.m. Monday.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said rehabilitation of the 20th Street bridge over I-25 will also cause lanes of I-25 to be narrowed and shifted during the week. The bridge will be closed to the public during weekend work periods.

Because the Colorado Rockies still have home games, CDOT said the bridge will remain open to outbound traffic for two hours after the game ends.
