'I'm Going To Get Knocked Out' Woman Thought While Trapped In Flood

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A woman who got trapped in her car during flooding in Colorado Springs says the road suddenly turned into a river.

Kimberly Trujillo was driving her black Chevy on Stoneridge Drive in Mountain Shadows on Monday when a storm dropping heavy rain quickly moved into the area.

"It was really bad. It was really fast. When we were coming up the road there was no water, then all of the sudden it was just a mass flood," Trujillo said.

Trujillo called 911 as she floated down the street. She was rescued minutes later.

"I'm like...'I'm going to get knocked out, something bad is going to happen, I don't think I should get on the roof.' They said, 'If you think it's more dangerous outside the vehicle, stay in your vehicle.' And then the neighbor--I had the windows rolled down--he said, 'Do not get out of your car, stay in your vehicle.' So I was like, 'Okay I'm staying in my vehicle.' "
