Wheat Ridge Officers Escape Injury In Head-On Crash
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (AP) - Two Wheat Ridge police officers escaped injury in a head-on crash that left another person seriously injured Sunday morning.
Police Commander Mark Cooney says the officers were in a marked police sport utility vehicle stopped at a traffic light when a Honda Accord veered over the double yellow line and hit the police car.
The officers had only minor injuries, but went to a hospital as a precaution.
The driver and a second passenger in the Accord weren't seriously injured, but were taken to the hospital.
