IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – Alcohol may be a factor in a deadly crash that shut down part of Interstate 70 Saturday evening.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, a 35-year-old woman was killed and two other people were injured when their motorcycles collided near Idaho Springs.

Apparently the bikers tried to pass a vehicle on either side and then slammed into each other when merging back into their lane.

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. and backed up traffic in the eastbound lanes until late Saturday night.
