New Belgium To Open Small Craft Brewery in Denver

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - New Belgium Brewing is coming to Denver with a new 10-barrel brewery that will offer small batch and sour beers.

The rooftop lounge where you can get a taste of the brews has been dubbed "The Woods," and will offer a beer garden, small plates, sit-down dining, and mountain views.

It's within The Source Hotel in Denver's RiNo district, where brewing will happen on the ground floor. Fifty oak barrels will allow for on-site aging.

New Belgium hopes this will help expand their sour beer offerings, which they've been producing since 1998.

The company has been in Fort Collins for 25 years, and now hopes to get more involved in Colorado's cultural and political capital.

Construction of the new hotel and New Belgium facility is set to begin this summer, with an expected opening in the first quarter of 2017.
