Peyton Manning Has Fun With Daughter, Brett Favre When Accepting Espy Award

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was the first to receive an award on ESPN's Espy Awards program Wednesday night.

Espy voters say Manning had the Best Record-Breaking Performance of the year last year for passing Brett Favre for throwing the most touchdowns in NFL history with his with career touchdown No. 509.

Manning's daughter Mosley came as his date and sat next to Favre while Manning took to the stage.

"I want to first thank my daughter Mosley for being my date tonight," Manning said. "She's over there getting babysat by Brett Favre in her seat over there."

Favre tweeted that "records are set to be broken. Still friends. Congrats again Peyton."

Manning took home the award just hours after the Broncos inked star wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to a long-term deal.
