CRAIG, Colo. (CBS4) – The future of the Colowyo Mine south of Craig in northwestern Colorado is still up in the air.
The U.S. Interior Department says it will not fight a court ruling that orders the coal mine’s environmental review to be done again.
The judge in this case says the review should take into account the mine’s impact on climate change. He also said he would shut down the mine unless the review was completed in four months.
