Loveland Police Release Sketch Of Sexual Assault Suspect

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Loveland are asking for the public's help identifying a sexual assault suspect.

According to Sgt. Mike Halloran, just after midnight on Thursday a woman called police saying she was being followed by a suspicious man in an SUV while she was walking in the 300 block of North Cleveland Avenue.

"She called from her vehicle while evading the man and was able to escape him during the phone call," Halloran said in a statement.

Officers were unable to locate the man. The woman said the vehicle was a dark, mid-sized SUV and that the man was college-aged, tall and Caucasian.

Later that morning officers responded to a report of a sexual assault in the 1300 block of West 29th Street.

"A woman was behind the building when she was physically and sexually assaulted by a lone male attacker. The woman fought back, the man disengaged, ran east to his vehicle, and left in an SUV that matched the description of the SUV in the earlier incident," Halloran said.

The suspect is described as being white, 6 feet tall and in his late 20s. He had a thick build and short, light brown hair.

Additional Information From The Loveland Police Department

Members of the public who have information related to either of the above described incidents are asked to call Detective Denise Dean at 970-962-2258.
