Coroner: Too Early To Tell If Body Found In Boulder Creek Is Missing Tuber

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Boulder County coroner says it could take a while to identify a body pulled from Boulder Creek Tuesday evening.

According to Cmdr. Heidi Prentup with the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, multiple agencies responded after a call came in about a body spotted in the creek near Valmont Road and 61st Street.

"The resident said they saw what they believed to be a body in Boulder Creek. The resident was not sure if it was human, or an animal," Prentup said in a statement.

Authorities were able to confirm the body was that of a person who was deceased and the body was recovered Tuesday night. The coroner hasn't said if the body is that of a man or a woman.

It's too soon to know if it could be the body of Chris Danko, 35, whose body still hasn't been found after he disappeared while tubing on the creek late at night back in May.
