2 Colorado National Guard Soldiers Injured During Annual Training
FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) - Two Colorado Army National Guard soldiers have been injured in separate training accidents during annual training at Fort Carson.
The first incident on Wednesday involved a soldier who suffered burns and other injuries from a smoke grenade. The soldier was air lifted to Penrose-St. Francis Hospital.
The second incident involved a soldier who was in the turret when a HUMVEE hit rough terrain. That soldier was also air lifted to Penrose-St. Francis Hospital to be checked out for a possible spinal injury.
Neither soldier has been identified.
