Cows Brought In To Graze Through Growing Problem In Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - The City of Boulder has turned to cows to fix a growing problem.

An invasive grass species is spreading out of control near the National Center for Atmospheric Research. The tall oat grass prevents light, moisture and nutrients from getting to native grass.

Instead of machinery, cattle are being used get rid of it. The cattle arrived last week and will stick around until the job is done.
