Search & Rescue Retrieves Body Of Missing Person On Flagstaff Mountain
BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Crews were dispatched in unincorporated Boulder County on Friday evening after receiving a report that a missing person had been seen near Realization Point off Flagstaff Road.
A deceased female was found at the base of a cliff, believed to be in her late teens or early twenties. However, crews had to call off the effort because of the wet weather and steep terrain. They returned Saturday morning to retrieve the victim.
The Boulder County Sheriff's Office said the retrieval is being slowed by the weather conditions, and it is expected that the body will be removed by the afternoon.
No foul play is suspected and deputies believe they know the victim's identity. It will not be released until an autopsy is completed.
