US 550 Near Ouray Reopened After Pickup That Rolled Down Mountain Retrieved

OURAY COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Colorado Department of Transportation has reopened US 550 on Red Mountain Pass Wednesday afternoon after retrieving a pickup truck that had rolled down the mountainside last Friday.

CDOT said the Colorado State Patrol reported the Mazda pickup was parked in a dirt "pull-off" on the west shoulder of the road when the vehicle began to roll and traveled 138 feet down before going off the mountainside.

Nobody was in the pickup when it rolled. It came to a rest approximately 250 from the road.
