Investigators In Utah Say Body Found In The 1970s Could Be Missing Colorado Man

DENVER (CBS4) - Deputies in Utah think a body found nearly four decades ago is that of a Colorado man.

Investigators say David Stack was last seen in 1976 when he was planning to hitchhike to California. He was 18 years old at the time.

The body was found near the Utah-Nevada state border 39 years ago but authorities could never identify it. A pair of detectives recently reopened the case after learning new information about investigating cold cases.

The identity of the body won't be confirmed until DNA and dental tests are complete.
