COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – Colorado Springs police say a man shot and wounded by a sheriff’s deputy in a Hobby Lobby was a knife-wielding escaped prisoner.
According to a statement from spokeswoman Lt. Catherine Buckley, the 48-year-old man, who was not identified, was being treated at a local hospital and in custody for a parole violation and escape Monday. The El Paso County deputy involved is on routine administrative leave and police violent crimes unit detectives are investigating.
