COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP/CBS4) – Authorities are investigating after two people were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds inside a burning home in Colorado Springs.

Police say officers responded to a shooting at the home on Redwood Drive in the northern part of the city at about 1:30 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, the home was on fire, and firefighters found two people dead inside.

The victims were identified only as a male and a female.

Neighbors told KKTV in Colorado Springs two teenagers also live in the house but they were not home at the time.
