Fort Collins Police Look Into Role Of Edible Pot In Teen's Window Jump

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Fort Collins police are investigating whether edible marijuana played a role in a teenager's decision to jump out of a third-story window.

Officers called to an apartment complex near Colorado State University on April 14 found 19-year-old Austin Essig injured on the ground. Investigators are trying to determine if Essig ingested edible marijuana before he jumped.

His injuries are described only as non-life-threatening.

No other information has been released.
