DENVER (CBS4) – Three people are dead in three separate accidents on Denver metro area roads on Sunday and arrests have been made in two of the crashes.

The first accident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on South Broadway at 2nd Avenue. A vehicle collided with a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital and later died. The person’s name hasn’t been released but has been identified as a 27-year-old man. He wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Police identified the driver of the other vehicle as April Wilson, 35. She’s suspected of driving under the influence and was arrested on charges of vehicular homicide.

The second accident involved a 39-year-old pedestrian and occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Logan Street near East Colfax Avenue. The victim was apparently crossing Logan Street and got hit by a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name also hasn’t been released.

Police say the driver of the vehicle, identified as a Ryan Winicki, 40, left the scene but returned shortly after. He’s suspected of driving under the influence and was taken into custody and charges of vehicular homicide.

The third accident involved a motorcyclist going off Interstate 70 near Quebec Street. A police officer driving through the area at approximately 6 a.m. noticed the wreck. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are trying to figure out if another vehicle was involved in the crash. They say the 48-year-old motorcyclist could have been laying there for hours before being discovered.

“It was a violent roll of the motorcycle and a violent ejection. And then he was found nearby, the motorcycle at rest, and the body at rest,” Sgt. Michael Farr with Denver police said.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released. Police hope somebody witnessed the crash and will come forward with more information.
