Denver Police Officers Honored At Award Ceremony
DENVER (CBS4)- Denver Mayor Michael Hancock joined Denver Police Chief Robert White on Thursday to hand out the police department's highest honors.
The awards presented included the Medal of Honor, the Purple Heart and Officer of the Year.
"We are at a time in our history in law enforcement when the negative acts of a few have greatly diminished the great work of the many. That's why it is so important that we look for every opportunity that we can find to acknowledge the men and women who come to work every single day to do what's asked of them and more," said White.
A total of 15 Denver Police officers were recognized at the ceremony at the Brown Palace.
