Jewelry Heist Suspects Bragged On Instagram, Police Caught On

DENVER (CBS4) - The FBI used Instagram to help tie three men and a woman to elaborate jewelry heist in Cherry Creek. Williams Jewelers at East 3rd Avenue and Fillmore Street was robbed in February.

Police say a woman who acted like she was a customer came inside the store after being buzzed in by employees. In the process she allowed three men inside with her.

The group then robbed the store, taking an undisclosed amount of jewelry after smashing display cases.

The group left the store, got in a red or maroon SUV and then left. The vehicle was found ditched a few blocks away on Clayton Street.

Sixteen hours after they were captured on video inside the store, the group was arrested following a high-speed chase and crash near San Francisco.

After the crash, Sacramento Police took five suspects into custody, Anthony Dewayne Domino, Sharde Shenay Suwannabart-Smith, Sean Donyell McCullough II, Summer Pavielle Sawyer, and Anthony James Tyree.

According to court papers, the FBI received a tip that they should look at some Instagram accounts. The thieves had allegedly posted incriminating pictures of themselves in Denver bragging about their crimes.
