BLM Conducts Controlled Burn Near Avalanche Creek

PITKIN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Bureau of Land Management conducted a controlled burn in Pitkin County Tuesday afternoon.

Smoke could be seen coming from the Avalanche Creek area, but it wasn't a cause for concern.

The smoke was visible from behind Mount Sopris. A total of 350 acres were burned.
