Springs Hitchhiker Claims To Have Bomb, Needs To Go To Michigan
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A Colorado Springs woman was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a driver who offered her a ride.
Fremont County deputies say Sarah Stanigar, 25, was hitchhiking along Highway 50 near Canon City when a driver picked her up. Stanigar told the driver she had to drive all the way to Michigan.
Stanigar allegedly said she was carrying a bomb and a gun in her backpack.
Authorities caught up to the car when the driver texted her boyfriend and he alerted police.
