Daughter Shaves Dad's Head For St. Baldrick's, Hundreds More Go Bald

DENVER (CBS4)- Hundreds of people volunteered to go bald to raise money for childhood cancer research, including one Colorado dad who let his daughter shave his head.

Bryan Bills let his 6-year-old daughter Staci shave his head for St. Baldrick's Foundation which raises money to fight pediatric cancer. Staci suffers from leukemia and her dad gave her the razor to shave his head at Fado's Irish Pub.

Bills was one of hundreds who went under the blade at this year's event.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation hosted three events in Denver on Friday. They hoped to have more than 400 participants and raise nearly $500,000 to support the foundation.

St. Baldrick's is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants to help fund research initiatives to find cures. The head-shaving event is the foundation's biggest where volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with children fighting cancer.
