FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP/CBS4) – More than 4,000 Fort Carson soldiers are heading to Kuwait where they will become one of America’s largest ground forces in the troubled region.

The combat team is Fort Carson’s heaviest fighting force, and the brigade is armed with tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles.

The soldiers have trained for more than a year for the Kuwait mission and many of them are veterans of previous combat tours in Iraq.
