Denver Police Say Robbery Suspect Apparently Shot Himself
DENVER (AP) - Denver police say a suspect in the robbery of an REI store Sunday morning apparently shot himself when approached by officers following a short pursuit.
Police spokesman Sonny Jackson says police showed up quickly after the robbery and the suspect fled. Jackson says the man ran into a parking garage and apparently shot himself. Jackson says none of the officers fired their weapons and no one was hurt during the robbery.
Jackson says the man was taken to the hospital and his condition was not available.
