Denver Baby With Albinism Continues To Be An Internet Sensation
DENVER (CBS4) - A baby from Denver is an Internet sensation. A touching video of her seeing her mother clearly for the very first time has gone viral with millions of viewers.
The YouTube star is 8-month-old Louise McMorris. Louise was born with the most severe form of albinism. She has no pigment in her skin, hair and eyes. Her vision is very poor.
"We don't know how bad it will be until she's older and can communicate with us," her mother Megan McMorris told CBS Health Specialist Kathy Walsh.
The video of Louise trying on special prescription glasses is an unforgettable 15 seconds.
"In that moment I feel like we made eye contact," said Megan. "That she really saw me for a split second even."

Louise's condition was a surprise to her parents, but they see her as perfect.
"There's nothing cuter than a white-haired baby," said Megan.
And baby Louise has become an international darling. Her mother created a YouTube channel called "Louise and Albinism." There's the "Hallelujah" video. Louise at one month has her eyes closed and arms wide as she listens to the "Hallelujah" chorus. Louise gets emotional in a video when mom sings "Amazing Grace."
But the touching video of Louise trying out her special glasses has nearly nine million views and keeps growing.
"It's like a firestorm, it just took off," said Megan. "To spread awareness about albinism, it's amazing, it truly is. God is so good."
Louise attends music and other therapy at the Anchor Center for Blind Children. Her mother will use Louise's new found fame to open people's eyes about albinism.
