Earlier Friday, Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue said firefighters rescued one unconscious person from a major house fire. The blaze at 914 Blue River Parkway was reported shortly before 1 p.m.

Firefighters from Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue were alerted by a neighbor that there was possibly a trapped resident inside the house. Crews entered the home and rescued the occupant a few minutes later.

The fire’s cause is unknown.

About 20 firefighters from Lake Dillon Fire-Rescue, Copper Mountain Fire and Breckenridge-based Red, White & Blue Fire fought the blaze. Firefighters said the house was fully engulfed.

It took about one hour to extinguish. Xcel Energy cut power and gas to the home.

The fire department said deep snow around the house limited access.
