Rock Slide Forces Closure Of Highway 24 Near Minturn
MINTURN, Colo. (CBS4) - Highway 24 remains closed near Minturn because of a rock slide.
The slide happened around 7 p.m. Saturday at Battle Mountain which left large boulders blocking the road.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says the closure will be for an extended time. Crews were able to remove some of the boulders on Sunday but will need to determine whether the hillside is stable, which could take several days.
