Denver Police Seek Serial Liquor Store Robber

DENVER (CBS4) - A liquor store robber armed with a revolver has hit five locations since Nov. 30, Denver police said.

The suspect, a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, carries a large black revolver that might have a laser sight.

According to Denver police, he robbed the Sun Liquors store at 1630 E. Bruce Randolph Ave. three times in the last month and twice in five days. Police said the suspect is 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds.

"It really gets your heart racing and your adrenaline going," a clerk at one of the robbed stores said. He asked to remain anonymous. "He came in here with the gun pointed out toward my girlfriend and my co-worker and asked for the money and was in the hurry to just get the money."

In addition to the Sun Liquors location, the suspect hit a mini mart and DB Wines on Colorado Boulevard.

"You take it seriously, so you can up security. But there is only so much you can really do to prevent these acts of violence," the clerk said. "Hope he gets caught. The cops have been very through and we sure appreciate that."

Anyone with information is asked to call 720-913-STOP.
