Memorial Held For Former Denver Teacher Murdered In Abu Dhabi
DENVER (CBS4) - Dozens of people gathered at a Denver park to remember a former Denver teacher who was murdered overseas.
Ibolya Ryan was stabbed to death earlier this month in Abu Dhabi where she had been continuing her teaching.
Friends, family and others whose lives were touched by Ryan gathered at Hungarian Freedom Park off of Speer Boulevard Saturday. The 47-year-old was being remembered as a great teacher, friend and mother.
There was a short ceremony and prayer followed by a reading of any eulogy. Red balloons were released in Ryan's honor.
Ryan was stabbed to death in a public restroom by a woman who was later arrested.
