Police Elevate Search For 'Pink Thong Bandit' In Indecent Exposures
DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver have elevated the search for a man they call the "Pink Thong Bandit" wanted in a series of indecent exposure incidents.
The suspect's name is Gary Miller and he's wanted in connection with an indecent exposure incident which occurred in the alley in the 2300 block between Irving Street and Hooker Streets on June 22.
Miller, 36, is suspected of multiple indecent exposure incidents in the Sloan's Lake neighborhood while wearing a long overcoat with nothing underneath but a pink thong.
"It's concerning. I hope we can figure out who this guy is and catch him and keep people safe," said Denver Police Officer Ron Hackett.
"I guess my neighbor had heard of it, it's scary to think about," said neighbor Lyndsay Gaffey.
Police said while no one has been physically harmed they are elevating the search for Miller and increasing patrols in the area.
"Anytime you deal with something sexual in manner there is always a chance of it escalating," said Hackett.
Miller is known to drive a silver Chevy pickup with Wyoming license plate 01T50882. The vehicle may have decals on the rear windows for Cowboy Custom Pro Property.
