4 Arrested In Denver In Chokehold Death Protest

DENVER (AP) — Denver police say a protest over the lack of a grand jury indictment against a New York City police officer in the death of a black man led to the arrests of four people.

The protesters were arrested Wednesday night for obstructing a roadway and interference. Police say they didn't use any force during the arrests.

The Denver Post reports that the protest began with about three dozen protesters in Civic Center Park and grew to a peak of about 100 people as it moved through downtown.

Police used Twitter to warn drivers to watch out for the protesters. The protest came just hours after four Denver police officers guarding a high school protest over the grand jury decision in the Ferguson, Missouri decision were hit by a car, critically injuring one.
