BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) – A semi carrying crude oil rolled over and spilled some oil on Wednesday morning on an Interstate 25 exit in the northern part of the Denver metro area.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital, and the accident caused some minor traffic issues.

Authorities said at 9 a.m. that the onramp from Highway 7 to Interstate 25 was closed and the southbound offramp to Highway 7 was closed while crews worked to clean up the spill.

Officials with the North Metro Fire Rescue District said the cause of the crash is being investigated.
