Colorado Ethics Commission: Town Of Georgetown Violated Policies

GEORGETOWN, Colo. (CBS4) - Colorado's Independent Ethics Commission says the town of Georgetown violated the state's ethics policies.

Each year nearby Loveland ski area has been donating two passes for all town employees to use.

The state ethics code prevents public employees from accepting gifts worth more than $53.

The season tickets were signed out through the treasurer's office.

Loveland officials are no longer donating the passes to the town. Because the situation was self-reported, no punishment will be handed down.
