Small Plane Flips During Landing Near Strasburg, 2 Survive
STRASBURG, Colo. (CBS4) - Two people have survived a scary situation small plane made an emergency landing and flipped over near Strasburg.
The incident took place at 8:40 p.m. Thursday night northeast of the east Adams County town, according to the Adams County Sheriff's office.
The plane landed in a field near the intersection of 38th and Headlight Road and wound up upside down.
The pilot had reported that the aircraft's engine failed.
The plane also hit power lines in the area.
Investigators with the FAA are on scene and will likely be there all day Friday to figure out why the engine failed.
The people on the plane were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
