Police: Man Stuck Between Walls Was Trying To Cut Power To Store
LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) - A man who became stuck for three days in between walls at a Marshall's store in Longmont after falling 20 feet from the store's roof has been arrested.
Police believe Paul Felyk, 35, of Westminster, was trying to break into the store when he became stuck after falling from a vestibule on the store's roof.
The Longmont Times-Call reported that Felyk told police he was to trying to cut power in the building to keep the alarm from going off as he made his way into the Marshall's.
On Tuesday morning, store employees heard the man screaming and called for help. Firefighters freed him 30 minutes later after cutting a hole in the exterior wall with a circular saw and a variety of hand tools.
Police also said the found methamphetamine in Felyk's vehicle.
Felyk has been hospitalized since his rescue for leg injuries.
