Victim In Boulder Hit And Run Identified

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - The man killed in a hit-and-run accident in Boulder on Thursday night has been identified as Charles Marcus Dial.

Police said Dial, 62, was stuck by a vehicle near the exit of an RTD bus terminal at 14th Street and Canyon Boulevard. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy was done and the coroner's office will release a cause of death later.

Police questioned and released a bus driver, who was later placed on investigative suspension. It's not clear if the driver was involved in the accident. A bus is regularly scheduled to depart that terminal at 9 p.m., shortly after the accident occurred.

RTD said it doesn't have surveillance video of the incident, and Boulder police are searching for nearby businesses that may have captured it on video.
