AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – A community and church group in Aurora that has been collecting donations and supplies to help Liberians afflicted with Ebola has raised thousands of dollars.
Members of the Liberian community attended a fundraiser concert at Aurora’s South Middle School on Saturday. More than $3,000 has been raised so far, as well as supplies.
Organizers said the need for medical supplies is the greatest. In addition to money donations, Clorox, hand sanitizers, examination gowns and masks are needed.
Donations can still be dropped off at Christ Vision International Ministries located at 262 Havana Street in Aurora.
The church said 100 percent of the donations will be sent to Liberia.
More than 10,000 have been infected with Ebola during the current outbreak, and nearly half have died.
