Excessive Speed Investigated In Head-On Crash
PARKER, Colo. (CBS4)- State troopers are investigating excessive speed in a head-on crash that left two drivers seriously injured.
Colorado State Patrol said a 2008 Nissan SUV crossed over into the oncoming lane of traffic southbound on Highway 83 near Parker and crashed into a 2011 Toyota minivan.
A 17-year-old girl from Franktown was driving the Nissan. She was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
The driver of the minivan, a 60-year-old man from Elizabeth, was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Troopers said it is not known whether alcohol or texting may have been involved.
